The Parker Picnic Table 6ft. was drawn for modern playgrounds. Its curves follow the shapes of current play structures, the connecting structure under the top is kept narrow so there is less to trip on, and the legs are centred and sloped so a child slides in from the end without climbing over anything. Wheelchair-accessible extensions are available, and there is an 8 ft full-framed wheelchair accessible version.

For younger children the Rutherford Child-Sized Picnic Table drops the seat to 14 inches and the table to 24, on the same lumber as the adult Rutherford, with enough clearance that a caregiver can sit down too. Skate blocks and a chess and checker insert are options. Bayview also lists a child-sized table with a wheelchair accessible end and two 4 ft benches.

All of them are marine-grade aluminum frames with stainless steel hardware and 100% recycled plastic lumber at 65 to 70% recycled content. The plastic lumber does not splinter, which matters more on a playground than anywhere else, and it never needs staining or paint.
