About integrated planter benches
Planting and seating share one footprint. The bench is fixed to the planter box, so the leg count drops. Frames are marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel hardware and a super-durable powder coat. Slats are 100% recycled plastic as standard, with cedar, Accoya or bamboo on the Bayview.
The Rutherford Rectangular Planter Single Bench puts one 72 inch seat on the long side of the box, and the Rutherford Rectangular Planter Double Bench puts one on each. The Rutherford Square Planter Bench is 80 inches on a side with 20.6 cubic feet of soil, in single, double or square configurations. The Bayview Bench Planter Combo takes benches up to 6 feet on either side of a 4.1 cubic foot planter, with backed seat sections or backless ones.
The Urban Form Self Watering Planter for Urban Form Planter Bench Combo holds a 41.5 US gallon reservoir under 6.4 cubic feet of soil, with an overflow drain for heavy rain, and cuts water use by up to 80%. Its bench cantilevers off the planter face onto a single post. The Rutherford units have raised feet for a forklift or a sling, so a planted display can still move.

The Rutherford Square Planter Bench holds 20.6 cubic feet (582 L). The Urban Form Self Watering Planter for Urban Form Planter Bench Combo holds 6.4 cubic feet. The Bayview Bench Planter Combo holds 4.1 cubic feet (114 L).
Can a planter bench be moved after it is planted?
The Rutherford units have raised feet for forklift or sling moves and replaceable individual boards. Weights run from 146 to 478 lb, so plan the equipment before the soil goes in.
Is there a self-watering option?
Yes. The Urban Form Self Watering Planter for Urban Form Planter Bench Combo has a 41.5 US gallon bottom-feeding reservoir and an overflow drain, and cuts water use by up to 80%. Benches mount left, right, both sides or on the corner.
Can I choose backed or backless seats?
The Bayview Bench Planter Combo comes with 2 backed seat sections with armrests or 2 backless sections. The Rutherford Square Planter Bench uses a backless bench on one side or both.
