Commercial Picnic Tables
Rectangular, hexagonal and pedestal picnic tables on marine-grade aluminum frames, with recycled plastic lumber tops and seats. About commercial picnic tables
The range runs from 4 ft tables to 8 ft wheelchair-accessible layouts, with hexagonal, square pedestal and harvest-style tops in between. The Rutherford Picnic Table is the original, with separated seat and table sections so a chair can pull up at the end or the side. The Bayview Picnic Table 6ft angles its feet outward to stop knee bumping and gives a deeper seat. The one drawn for playgrounds, with a narrow connecting structure that reduces tripping, is the Parker Picnic Table 6ft.
Most frames are marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel hardware. The single-pedestal tables use a heavy-duty steel frame instead, sandblasted, zinc-primed and powder coated, and install by direct burial or surface mount. Tops and seats are 100% recycled plastic lumber, so there is nothing to stain or repaint. The colour runs through the board and a scratch shows the same shade underneath.
Forty-four of the tables are tagged accessible. The Rutherford Heavy Duty Picnic Table is free-standing with extra supports, light enough to move for an event and heavy enough to stay where it is put. Hexagonal tables seat six and take an umbrella at the centre.

Two years ago, our School's Outdoor Classroom (École Champs Vallée School in Beaumont Alberta) received two Parker Picnic tables as a donation from a local family. We've been consistently impressed with how well this furniture has withstood both the elements and student use. When it came time to furnish the rest of our project, we knew immediately that we wanted to work with Wishbone Site Furnishings. Katie was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the process. Although I was initially unsure about matching the existing picnic tables' color, Katie promptly sent a sample kit, which allowed me to confidently identify the exact color needed. Our order was placed and delivered within the promised shipping timeline. I was particularly impressed with the secure packaging of the furniture upon arrival; everything arrived in excellent condition. The clear instructions and well-organized hardware made installation simple and straightforward for our crew.

At Hasting Elementary, I’ve been checking up on the furniture and the bright red Bayview Hex Tables look good as the day they were installed! A lot of schools purchase wood furniture, and it just doesn’t last in our climate. That’s why I thought of Wishbone, because it lasts and looks great. The Wishbone benches and tables are used all the time, they’re just a great addition to school. I’ve had so many positive comments from parents and children, and other community groups are using them too.

Questions
Are wheelchair-accessible picnic tables available?
Yes. The Rutherford, Bayview, Parker and Single Pedestal families each offer wheelchair-accessible versions, with clear space at one or both ends or at the side. The Bayview Hexagonal Wheelchair Accessible Picnic Table leaves one bench off so a chair sits level with the other places.
How are the picnic tables anchored?
Single-pedestal tables install by direct burial or surface mount. The Bayview hexagonal tables have bolt-down foot plates. The Rutherford Heavy Duty Picnic Table is free-standing and needs no anchoring, so it can be repositioned for events.
What sizes do the picnic tables come in?
Standard lengths run 4 to 8 ft, with the Larson Picnic Table 6ft also made in 4 and 5 ft. The Urban Form Harvest Table 6ft joins end-to-end, and custom configurations reach 12 ft long and 4 ft wide.
What maintenance do the recycled plastic tops need?
Cleaning, and little else. The lumber does not rot, splinter or warp, and it never needs paint or stain. Years of sun will fade the surface, and the Renew tool takes that layer back off.
