Waste Receptacles for Streetscapes

Litter bins for sidewalks and plazas, sized for foot traffic and serviced without a key. About waste receptacles for streetscapes

A streetscape bin lives on a sidewalk, so its footprint matters as much as its capacity. The City Scape Waste Receptacle is 14 inches deep and still holds 35 US gallons, with openings on both sides for two-way pedestrian flow. The Pipeline Waste Receptacle stands 27 inches tall at 52 pounds with its liner on the ground, which keeps the visual weight down on a heritage street and shortens the reach for a bag change.

Where the street sees more volume, the Modena Large Capacity Curved Top Waste Receptacle holds 57 US gallons and the Freedom family goes to 55 in a certified bear-proof unit. The Urban Form Waste Receptacle holds 36 behind a restricted 8-inch opening, with a keyless hidden door latch and individual boards that can be replaced after damage. The Skyline Waste Receptacle takes litter from all four sides under a solid top.

Frames are marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel hardware. Cladding is recycled plastic lumber as standard, or cedar, Accoya, bamboo and all-aluminum on the Urban Form and Modena units, so the bin can match the bench beside it. An optional hands-free foot pedal seals the opening against pests between uses.

I would like to pass on our thanks to you and your amazing staff for all of their assistance and hard work in making our downtown revitalized and beautiful. It has been a few years now since we have installed our bear proof waste bins, recycling bins, benches, bike racks, and picnic tables. They are weathering very well and still look new, even though the snow and ice try their best to wear them down. It is exciting ot see so many people sitting in our downtown core enjoy a coffee or ice cream or just taking a break from their day. Our downtown has been transformed into a welcome place for people to socialize and rest and just feel at home. You and your staff have been very helpful when we have needed adjustments made on garbage bins, new decals sent out (valdalism - they seem to go missing) and any time we have had to order new items for other parks around town. We are installing picinic tables, garbage bins and benches that match the downtown in our parks around town as we are so happy with the durability of the product.

Questions

Which waste receptacle fits a narrow sidewalk?

The City Scape Waste Receptacle is 14 inches deep, 30 long and holds 35 US gallons. The Pipeline Waste Receptacle is 22.5 inches square and only 27 inches tall, and the Beselt Round Waste Receptacle is 24 inches across.

How much do streetscape bins hold?

From 20.5 US gallons in the Beselt Round Waste Receptacle and West End Waste Receptacle, through 30 and 36 in the Skyline and Urban Form units, to 57 US gallons in the Modena Large Capacity Curved Top Waste Receptacle.

How are the bins serviced on a busy street?

Most open through a hidden keyless latch or a recessed handle lock, so crews carry no keys. The boards on the Urban Form Waste Receptacle are individually replaceable, and the ground-level liner of the Pipeline Waste Receptacle is a shorter lift.

Can a bin be matched to the bench family?

Yes. The Skyline Waste Receptacle is styled to the Skyline benches, the Beselt Round Waste Receptacle carries cast-aluminum slats matched to the Beselt Bench, and the Urban Form and Modena bins come in the same recycled plastic, cedar, Accoya, bamboo or all-aluminum cladding as their benches.
