Why the six-foot bench won

Of every bench we have shipped since 2018, eight in ten were six feet long. That is not a coincidence, and it is not a default either.

Surface mount or in-ground: surface won

Four in five of our installations bolt to a finished surface. That share has grown every year, and the reason is not what most people assume.

The new woods

For most of our history, the lumber question had one answer. Since 2024 it has had four.

The most sustainable bench is the one still there

Every environmental claim about a product assumes a service life. Ours is measured in reorders rather than promised in brochures, and the two numbers below are the whole argument.

What the lumber is actually made of

Our recycled plastic lumber is 100% waste plastic, roughly half post-consumer and half post-industrial. Here is what each half is, why the split matters, and the one number a LEED project will ask for that we should be ready to give.

When parks departments actually buy

Our busiest month is July. Our quietest is December. Between them is the whole story of how public furniture gets funded, approved and installed.

Bamboo, and what rapidly renewable means

Hardened bamboo arrived in our lumber options in 2025 and shipped 121 units in its first year. It is marketed everywhere as a sustainable material. Here is the version of that claim we are comfortable making.

Why Wishbone for municipalities and parks departments

Three quarters of the municipalities we have supplied have ordered again. Here is what they ask before the first order, and what they found out by the second.

The memorial bench

Every year since 2019 we have shipped bronze plaques, and every year someone has asked us to engrave a name. This is the part of the business that is never about furniture.
